While algorithmic disgorgement aims to remove biased content without compromising the entire model, doubts remain about its practical feasibility. Similarly, the RAG technique, which involves fetching information from trusted sources, raises concerns about the ability to eliminate bias entirely from AI systems.

Weaver acknowledges that bias is a deeply rooted aspect of human nature, which inevitably influences AI systems as well. Despite aspirational attempts to create unbiased AI, the inherent biases ingrained in human society continue to pose challenges in achieving truly objective and fair artificial intelligence.
